Asian, Indian Wedding Photographers - Aspirations Photography
People sometimes think that we are an English company, doing Indian, Asian wedding photography. Just to set the record straight, we are an Asian company.
Irfan, the main wedding photographer is a British Ugandan Asian. Aspirations Photography specialise in Indian, Asian wedding photography.
However, we also do English wedding photography, including English / Asian weddings, where one of the couple is English, and the other is Asian.

Wedding Season Is Here!
The beginning of March along with better weather, heralds the arrival of the "wedding season".
For all those couples out there, who have not yet organised their wedding photography, please do so as soon as you can.
The longer you leave it, the greater the chance that you will be "scraping the barrel" in terms of choice of photographers to capture the memories of your big day.

How to choose a wedding photographer
In speaking to brides and grooms, we found that many were confused in how to select the right photographer for their big day.
So I thought, being the nice people that we are, we should do something to help the poor brides and grooms who were just after some good photographs of their wedding.

White Wedding Weekend
Those brides and grooms who are fortunate enough to be getting married this weekend, are going to find it interesting due to the weather.
The snow poses all sorts of problems. I can just picture the bride /groom or one of the guests falling over which may make an interesting and funny photo moment (assuming no one has got hurt of course).
Keeping warm is also going to be a problem. it's usually not too bad (even in this weather) for the groom. He will usually be wearing a " morning suit", comprising of (on top) a shirt, cravat (keeps neck nice and warm), waistcoat and coat on top. For "bottoms" he will also have underpants followed by a warm pair of trousers. The exception being grooms wearing a Kilt. As to what may be below, lets just not go down there.
The bride on the other hand, is left with just a dress. Some of these can be quite thin, with the arms generally uncovered. The poor brides this weekend are going to be shivering. I feel the brides this weekend deserve a "medal".
I am not photographing a wedding this weekend, but do let us know if you have been to a wedding this weekend either as a bride & groom or as a guest.

Wedding Shows/Exhibitions - are there too many?
Most of the Asian wedding Exhibitions in London and the rest of UK seem to have taken place.
I don't know about you, but to me there seems to be more and more of these. I wonder whether we really need as many as we currently have?
Surprisingly, a few of the major ones take place on the same day in the same city. I am baffled as to who benefits from this.
Also, are they providing enough diversity for the brides and grooms? Certain sectors of wedding services, such as photographers, are over-subscribed. They seem to be at each and every corner and aisle at these wedding fairs. Do brides and grooms really want to see so many photographers, or too many of any other service providers?
I wonder what the people that really matter - you the brides and grooms -think of the state of Asian wedding shows at the moment? Do you find that they are useful? Are they worth your precious time and money? What do you think is wrong with them? Equally what, in your opinion, is good about them?
